Just a regular reminder that I am not dead

Hello friends and followers,

Just wanted to take a moment to check in with everyone and give everyone an update as to what has been going on lately.

Before you ask, no. There hasn't been much in the way of photography coming as of late. I have been focusing on my day job more and more. I'm hoping to get a chance to shoot some more soon. If you want some new work, please feel free to contact me! I'd love to get something else on the books sooner than later.

I have been keeping up a regular appearance with Blackbird Magazine as a writer, and hat wearer. Just as a shameless plug the new website just launched recently at www.blackbirdmag.com. I'm hoping to have a few new articles ready soon, and will be posting those over at the extra blog. In the meantime be sure to like and follow them on social media.

So until something new comes along, be sure to follow me on Twitter and Instagram. I try to update those pretty regularly (just don't get me started about Facebook. Although you can follow me there as well if you want).

Until next time, thanks for keeping up with everything going on!

The Imperial Opa - 07.12.2014

You know you have great friends when you can get an unexpected text message on a Saturday night that says "want to come shoot a circus cabaret show tonight?". Thats exactly what happened just a few days ago.

If you are a follower of this blog or my work you may remember (should remember) Nicolette. We have worked together many times over the last few years, including just a month or so ago. She is using her many talents to contribute to a great group called The Imperial Opa. Their event "The Grand Cabaret" was slated to go on stage in just a few hours, and they were without a photographer. Needless to say I stepped up and jumped at the opportunity.

Below are a few selects, as well as a gallery of all of the photos from that night (Tumblr folks will probably need to visit my official blog page at UNEXPhotography.com/news since I don't think galleries work well there):

Be sure to check them out live and in person, you won't regret it!

DaVinci Black - 07.03.2014

Hello friends and followers,

When I first moved to Atlanta I was working customer support for a cell phone company. The job itself wasn't anything to write home about, but I was able to meet some very interesting and creative folks.

When one of those people called me up out of the blue and asked if I was available for a shoot on very short notice, I said I'd make it happen. And I'm glad I did. Here are a few photos from the up and coming DaVinci Black (link to come, he is working on his social media pages as we speak)

Hello friends and followers,
This is a pretty funny little update. Nothing really UNEX related. However I felt it good enough to share.

In testing IFTTT I realized I had a funny little image tucked away on my hard drive. So I decided to change my boring 404 error page.

Since most of you will probably never run into it "in the wild", I'll post it below for all to see.
