How to go from confident, to feeling like a dumbass in 10 simple steps:
Step 1) Take a camera older than you are.
Step 2) Assume you know how to work it.
Step 3) Shoot a roll of film.
Step 4) Take roll of film into drugstore for processing to make sure everything is working right.
Step 5) Realize that you didn't load the film correctly at all.
Step 6) Question everything you have done for the last 8 years.
Step 7) Drink. Copiously. Maybe cry a little.
Step 8) Read camera manual.
Step 9) Re-load camera correctly
Step 10) See Step 1
At least I figured this out now, instead of many weeks down the road. However now I am pretty sure I loaded everything right and have shot about half of another roll. I'm pretty happy that I had the planning to buy the 4 pack of film instead of a single roll. Even if it did mean that I looked like an idiot at the local drugstore for a few minutes.
Once the developing kit comes in, I'll be able to maybe save a little face if a roll doesn't have anything on it.
