Peter Turns Pirate

Peter Turns Pirate (PTP), a solo artist based out of Toronto Canada, has been evolving his craft since 2004. His shows guide the viewer into a world of imagination and intrigue. Known for his theatrical and dramatic live setting, Peter Turns Pirate transforms the stage into his
own playground. His music is a mesh of metal, electronics, pop, ambient and experimental influences. His shows include eclectic wardrobe selections along with special effects that illuminate each of his performances. Peter Turns Pirate is a true spectacle that cannot be missed.

Grendel

Officially formed in 2000 by JD Tucker, Grendel was quickly picked up by the legendary German label NoiTekk (a subdivision of Black Rain Records), upon hearing their first promo CD. This promo included the club hit “Strangers” and, after additional production & mastering, would become their 2001 debut studio album, “Inhumane Amusement” [...] After much hard work, October 2017 marks the release of his eagerly awaited magnum opus, “Age Of The Disposable Body”, on Infacted Records (EU) and Metropolis Records (US). Not only does this album offer a rich pallet of sounds & styles, but also a huge step forward vocally and lyrically.

Covenant

Covenant. It’s a name that implies extraordinary commitment, a certain grandiosity, and a bond stronger than blood. As a name, Covenant—with its biblical overtones—was perhaps a bit ambitious for an upstart band of teenagers from southern Sweden armed with rudimentary electronics, but it ended up being extraordinarily fitting. Whether or not life subsequently imitated art or art subsequently imitated life is debatable, either way the band’s moniker ended up perfectly summing up the vision, grandeur, and brotherhood that is the band itself.

It's time to listen. It's time to heed the sound of the sirens. What are they telling us? Who is really playing the tunes we dance to?

We are not Leaving Babylon. Not yet.

The FanDom Nerdlesque - 120FPS Video B-Roll Test

This is a bit of a departure from the regular content normally found in my Blog posts. Many who have talked with me about my background know that I started in video before finding my "calling" in photo.

I just so happened to be at a birthday party for one of my regular clients, and heard that The FanDom was going to be shooting some promo photos and video for their upcoming show. After finding out that my day was open they invited me to come by and hang out for the day. I expected to maybe do some consulting work and a fair bit of networking. Little did I know I would end up running sound, and then in a stroke of genius decided to pull out my camera and record a little super-slow-mo video B-roll for their project.

Its not perfect by any means, but it was a nice little sizzle reel to remind myself that I still know a thing or two about video.

Tru Facade - 2018.

Tru Facade is new to the Atlanta burlesque scene and one of the newest members of the CandyBox Revue! Holding a Bachelor’s as a theatre technician, Tru has been working backstage for almost 10 years, helping create the magic of the stage. Finally stepping into the limelight, she’s ready to show off her skills as an entertainer and turn the masses heads. She's a little sweetie with some spice behind her smile, she is Tru Facade.

Tru approached me for a shoot after being recommended by regular clients Désiré and Kali (I found out as well that there is an entire troupe that has also been speaking very highly of me even though I have never worked with them...more on that to come maybe?). Her unique mix of Masculine and Feminine personas are not to be missed.

For being her first official photographic experience, I was happy to be able to make things easy and comfortable for what will be her first of many shooting experiences.

Nina La Voix - 2018.

Nina La Voix is a burlesque performer and producer based out of Brooklyn, New York. Her performance style is hard-hitting yet strikingly sensual. With a heavy classic and street dance background, Nina's style often blends the classic structures of burlesque with modern/neo twists. She has graced international stages including Paris and Amsterdam.

I got to work with Nina almost by accident, and I certainly wasn't aware of her celebrity status. While on business in NYC, I reached out to a few different models, and Nina was the one that responded the most positively. It's not every day that a stranger reaches out and invites you to his hotel room for a photoshoot. Nina was completely cool with working through some ideas and we both were super excited with the results.

Nina is a completely awesome individual, and you should not miss tracking her down if you are in the big city.
