Brandie - 2021.

The weather outside is starting to get cooler, and soon enough the leaves on the trees will all be on the ground instead. The spooky season will be here before we know it (even if we do have to go through second-summer first). It used to be that Halloween was my favorite time of the year, but these last few years have just been wearing on me and I just haven’t felt in the spirit.

I guess it’s time to change that.

Brandie replied to an Instagram post where I was looking for someone to work with, and even though we have worked together in the past, this was the first time one on one. I honestly didn’t know what to expect when she said “I’ll just bring a few different things”, but I certainly didn’t see myself getting the chance to shoot something with some witchy-feels this early.

I’m not complaining. I’ll just be over here humming “It’s the most wonderful time of the year” (because we all know that even though every day is Halloween, most of us weirdos only get 31 days to enjoy it.

Jesse and Rachel - 2018.

Jesse is a face that isn’t any stranger to the blog. You may better recognize him as the brain and body behind Solar Wolf Cosplay, and because of the several costumes he has had me document for him over the last two years.

Jesse and his soon to be wife Rachel approached me for some engagement photos that best captured them in some of their favorite places in Atlanta, The DragonCon hotel trinity.

It was strange being able to walk around without bumping into folks, and it was much more quiet than I ever expected downtown could be, but overall I think I captured them both well as a couple.

And of course, what’s else says “fun engagement shoot” without a few outtakes :P
